Bob has gone fishing, high in the sky. He is survived by his wife, Irene; 3 daughters, Stacy (Paul) Hease, Michelle (Hussein) Mahmoud, and Cathryn (Jason) Ehrenberg; 8 grandchildren, Bobby (Katie), Molly (Max), Andrew (Ami), Mariam, Noah, Emma, Olivia, and Nate; and great granddaughter, Sofie.
After serving in Vietnam, he dedicated his life as a Chicago police officer for 36 years. His colorful sense of humor and personality is one to remember and cherish forever. Bob loved to entertain an audience with jokes (that we may have heard once or twice) and brag about his family.
“If you’re early, you’re on time. If you’re on time, you’re late.” In typical Bob fashion, he waits on no one but will be there honking the horn when we see him again. Visitation will take place Friday, May 21, 2021 from 3:00 until time of funeral service at 7:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, Il. Interment will be private. Info .
