From dancing, singing and playing piano to fond memory visits with her brother on the farm chasing little chicks and milking cows, her adventurous spirit prepared her for the challenge and commitment of raising 7 children with the love of her life - John. They raised all of us with unconditional love, support, understanding, faith, and values that reflected their bond. Mom was a whiz with numbers and served several decades as a bookkeeper. In her spare time (ha!), she was an avid bowler and loved visiting the casinos! She also loved taking trips that took her to Australia, Ireland, England — and various part of the United States. She was particulary fond of Frankenmeuth Michigan (think Christmas) and Branson, Missouri (think music productions). She even roller-skated until she was 78 years old but more importantly, she loved the outfits that she could wear. Mom indeed was a little fashionista — making sure that her wardrobe was filled with color, coordination, and lots of glitz.Above all, Mom loved meeting, talking and helping anybody out — especially in their time of need. She loved her home, garden, nature, and our "furry-friend" family members. In the end, it was this strength of character that would carry her through the trials and tribulations in the later stages of her life. Mom's favorite quotes were “…This too shall pass…” and "...Wait 'til your father gets home…”! Her Legacy and Love for Adventure will always continue to shine and be a Star of Light & Hope for her family and those to which her life touched.
