Richard Joseph Petzold

Richard "Rick" J. Petzold, age 54, passed away unexpectedly on December 13, 2025. Rick was the beloved husband of Dawn M. (nee Carine) for 30 wonderful years; loving father of Veronica J., Raymond J. and Tereesa J. Petzold; dear son of Ronald and the late Jean (nee Kawell) Petzold; dearest brother of Robert (Rachel) Petzold; precious son-in-law of Sharon (nee Borowski) and the late Anthony Carine; and adored brother-in-law of Nicholas (Christina) and Kenneth (Katherine) Carine. Rick was also a treasured cousin, uncle, friend and second dad to many.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. (Catholic Prayer Service 6:00 p.m.) at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL.
