Richard Haliw

Richard O. Haliw, 85, passed away January 23, 2019. Beloved husband of Anna for 60 wonderful years. Loving father of Daria (John) Kyszka, Taras (Victoria) Haliw, and Oksana (Jima) Kurywczak. Fond grandfather of Markian, Christian, Kolya, Juliana, Kalyna, and Ivanna. Dear brother-in-law of Maria (Orest), Steve (Irene), and Olya (Ernest). Former professional United States Soccer Federation Referee, and a FIFA Referee. Inductee of the Illinois Soccer Hall of Fame, and the Ukrainian Sports Hall of Fame. Visitation will be Friday, January 25, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W Lawrence Ave, Norridge, with Panachyda at 6:30 p.m. Family and friends to meet on Saturday at St. Joseph Ukrainian Catholic Church, Chicago, for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment Private.
