Richard J. Filar, age 78, at rest September 24, 2018. Richard was a veteran in the United States Army. Beloved husband of Bobbie Jo (nee Baker). Loving father of Michael (Cierine Nicolas) and Jill Filar (Kevin Fisher). Devoted grandfather of Quinn and Shaw Filar. Cherished son of the late Walter and Eva (Wiktor) Filar. Dear brother of the late Edward (Nancy) Filar and fond uncle of many. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to American Heart Assoc. Visitation Friday, Sept. 28, 2018 from 3:00 until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge. Interment will be private.
