Richard R. Deck, 91, passed away December 24, 2023. Beloved husband of Providence nee Comella. Loving father of Susan (Thomas) Moran, Elizabeth Dziedzic, and Rich (Judy) Deck. Beloved son of the late Francis and Susan Deck. Fond grandfather of Nicole (Joseph) Kiska, Daniel (Stephanie) Dziedzic, Michael Deck, Timothy (Molly Dannenberg) Deck, Kristin Dziedzic, Jonathan (Abby) Deck, and James Moran. Great grandfather of Jeremy, Alice, and Javier. Dear brother of Elaine (the late Edward) Meade, and the late Laurence (Rita) Deck. Dear brother-in-law of August Comella. Fond uncle of many. Dick was a long time and proud member of the GCC/IBT International Printers Union Local 458-M Chicago, IL. He was an avid reader and bowler. He loved his Lionel Electric Model Train set and enjoyed ‘working on the railroad’ with his grandchildren. He also coached Dunham Little League and was a Little League umpire. Visitation will be Saturday, December 30, from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W Lawrence Ave, Norridge. Interment will follow at Maryhill Cemetery.
