Richard Chernikovich
July 16, 1951 — June 19, 2022
Richard Chernikovich, 70, beloved husband to Barbara Chernikovich for 43 years. Loving father to Jeremy (Marina) and Kyle (Brittany). Brother to Robert (Fran) and Judy (Keith). Brother-in-law to Robert and Richard (Sue). Son-in-law to Lillian Karwowski and uncle to 7 nieces and nephews and 15 great nieces and nephews. Passed away on June 19th, 2022.
Richard was a standout athlete at Schurz High School and a graduate of Northeastern University. He was a highly decorated police detective for over 28 years with the Chicago Police Department. In retirement he loved to golf and travel with his beloved wife.
In honor of Richard’s memory, a Celebration of Life will be held on June 26th from 2PM until 6PM at Underpass Lounge (9400 Grand Avenue, Franklin Park). We invite you to attend and remember his wonderful life.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
