Reno Giuntoli, age 96, passed away on May 1, 2026. Reno was born on December 9, 1929, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Primo Giuntoli and the late Anita (née Pellegrini) Giuntoli.
Reno was the beloved husband of Catherine (née Butera) Giuntoli. He was the dearest brother of the late James A. (the late Florence) Pellegrini and the late Tosca (the late Frank) Ciolkosz.
He was a fond uncle to the late James A. Jr. (the late Bonnie) Pellegrini, Robert (Laura) Ciolkosz, Lauretta (Brian) Cohen, Linda Tribuani, James (Mary) Butera, Deborah (Ernst) Kosower, and Randy (Nancy) Pellegrini. Cherished great-uncle of Lisa, James J., Lindsey, Jaime, Neil (Michelle), and Heather. Proud great-great-uncle of Grace and Samuel.
Reno dedicated many years of his life working for General Electric, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment. He also proudly served his community as a part-time police officer with the Harwood Heights Police Department.
Reno will be remembered for the love he shared with his family and the lasting impression he made on all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
Visitation for Reno will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, Illinois. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in River Grove, Illinois.
