Rafaela Curiel

Rafaela Curiel was a wonderful woman that was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished. Our “Yaya,” as she liked to be called by her grandchildren, was an amazing woman.

Rafaela "Yaya" Curiel, nee Aguilera, passed away on October 21, 2023. Rafaela was the loving mother of Jose (Stephanie Maldonado) Nunez, Janette Aguilera and Daisy (Rafael) Torres; dearest daughter of the late Eufemia and Cruz Aguilera; cherished grandmother of Arianna Nunez, Jozelyne Gonzalez, Alex and Christian Rodriguez, Cytlaly, Emilio and Yarely Torres; dear sister of Ameria, Jose, Marcolfa, Margarito, Socorro, Felicitas, Rosa and the late Tany; fond aunt of many.

Visitation Friday, October 27, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home, and will then proceed to St. Gertrude Church 9613 Schiller Boulevard, Franklin Park, IL for Mass at 10:00 a.m. The interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
