Phillip Carmen DeFrancisco, age 51, was called home on July 27, 2021. He is survived by his former spouse Elida Docampo-DeFrancisco and their beautiful loving daughter, Jasmin DeFrancisco.
Phil was the loving son of Carmen (Sandra) DeFrancisco and Mary (Peter) Maniates, dear brother of Ashley DeFrancisco, step brother to Rick (Annie) Dobrowski and Danita (Robert) Fitch, Step brother to Joshua (Sarah) Maniates, Peter III (Katie) Maniates, Jaime (Jeremy) Clemens, dedicated uncle to Anthony, Amanda, Amber, Abby, and Oliver, beloved nephew of Sam DeFrancisco, Ben (Jene) DeFrancisco, Marie DeFrancisco, Nancy (Wayne) Mulac and Patsy Ann Kasper, cherished cousin and friend to many. Phil was greeted with open arms in heaven by his grandparents Phil (Nancy) DeFrancisco, and Frank (Angeline) Kasper, Aunts Joyce (Don) Francesia, Agnes (Steve) Zivic, Antionette (Bill) Maki, Elvera Black and Uncles William (Pat Jean) Kasper, Frank (Joan) Kasper, and Vince Kasper.
Although Phil was a successful and respected realtor in SW Florida, his lifelong passion was music. He was an accomplished guitar player and vocalist and loved playing out whenever possible. He brought the "happy" wherever he went with his larger-than-life personality. Everyone, strangers included, benefitted from his strong Christian faith and selfless generosity. Phil left an indelible mark on this world and on his daughter who was his greatest joy in life. " Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 5, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, Il. Funeral Friday, beginning at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. and then proceeding to St. Robert Bellarmine Church for 11:00 a.m. Mass. Committal service will follow at Acacia Park Cemetery interment chapel.
