Pasqualina Lavorgna

Pasqualina Lavorgna nee Franco, age 97, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 27, 2019. She was born January 22, 1922, in Puglianello, Italy, to Vitangelo Franco and Angelina Palmieri. Dear sister to Pasquale (Eny) Franco, the late Antonio Franco, Raffaele (Giuseppina) Franco, Giuseppe (Ernestina) Franco, Nicolina (the late Italo) Franco; Dear sister-in-law to the late Mariangela and Michele Iannotti. She was a devoted wife to the late Bartolomeo for 47 wonderful years and immigrated to the United States in 1968. Cherished mother to Rosina (the late Mario) Onofrio, Pasquale (Maria); Loving grandmother of 6 to George (the late Ila) Onofrio, Mario (Joy) Onofrio, Claudio (Roselynn) Onofrio, Bartolomeo (Maria) Lavorgna, Antonio Lavorgna, and Maria Lina (Salvatore) Ventimiglia; Great-grandmother of 9 to Nicholas, Anthony, Cara, Jeremy, Kevin, Isabella, Mario Onofrio and Antonino and Rosa Ventimiglia. Warm and caring relative to many. She will always be fondly remembered for her love of shopping, travel, gardening, and unbelievable strength. Above all, time spent with family was the most precious to her. Visitation Friday, August 30, 2019 from 3:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge. Funeral Saturday, beginning at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. and will then proceed to Our Lady Mother of the Church for 11:00 a.m. Mass. Entombment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
