July 31, 1928 — February 5, 2022

Otto S. Caputo, age 93, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2022. Otto was the beloved husband of Elizabeth "Bettie", nee Simonetti; loving father of Paul V. (Cindy), Thomas A. (the late Vivian), the late William (Barbara) and the late Frank (Cynthia) Caputo; dearest son of the late Angelina and Guillermo Caputo; cherished grandfather of Jennifer, William, Brian, Nicholas, Frank, Michael, Kimberly, Cari, Paul, James, Kathryn, Elizabeth, Krystina and the late Tommy; great grandfather of 13; dear friend to his oldest friends Angie & the late Bud DeFano and his newest friends Helen & Ric Lindahl. Otto was preceded in death by 7 siblings, and he was a fond uncle of many and a friend to all who knew him. Otto was an educator for over 30 years at East Leyden High School, and a Regional Manager with Provident Life and Accident. He was an avid cigar smoker and enjoyed the occasional wager on NFL Football. Visitation Wednesday, February 9, 2022, from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. We will then proceed to St. Monica Church in Chicago for Mass at 10:30 a.m. and the interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, IL. In lieu of flowers a donation to your favorite charity in Otto's name would be appreciated. For more information call (708)456-8300.
