Orest Hladky, age 88, US Army Korean War Vet. Passed away on July 4, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Roma nee Matura for 54 wonderful years; loving father of Erik (Courtney), Alexander (Christine) Hlakdy and Areta Kohout; fond grandfather of Mathew, Olenka, Ana, Roma, Max, Isabella and Winn; brother-in-law of Nadia Kaspryk and Yara Snylyk; fond uncle of many. Visitation Thursday July 7, 4:00 until 9:00 p.m., Panachyda at 7:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services begin Friday July 8, 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home and will proceed to St. Joseph Ukrainian Catholic Church for Service at 10:15 a.m. Entombment St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Mausoleum.In lieu of flowers donations to PLAST Ukrainian Scouting and/or the St. Joseph Ukrainian Catholic Church Ukrainian Hero Fund would be appreciated.
