Norbert Rediger

Norbert Rediger Age 92, passed away Saturday November 12, 2022. He was born October 30, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois to Rose (nee Kowalczyk) and Louis Rediger. He was preceded in death by his siblings Ernest, Louis, Raymond (Viola) and Virginia Seaberg (Bud). Norbert was a graduate of St. Stanislaus grade school and Steinmetz High School on the northwest side of Chicago and served in the United States Armed Forces from 1951-1953 during the time of the Korean War. He worked a long 30 plus year career at Sears Roebuck and Company from 1961 until his retirement in 1992. Norbert married his loving wife of 46 years, Barbara O’Brien of Galway Ireland - married on November 10, 1962. Barbara passed away in 2008. He is survived by his children, James (Deborah), Catherine, Michael, and Brian along with his five Grandchildren, Michelle, Stephen, Kathleen, Megan, and Kevin. His joy was spending time with children and Family. Whether it was baseball after a long day at work, taking his Grandchildren to the Park, Babysitting for them, or simply just hanging out. He always put his Family first. Visitation, Wednesday, November 16th from 4:00pm – 8:00pm at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge Illinois 60706. Funeral Prayers at Funeral Home Thursday, November 17th at 9:15 am. Going to St. Eugene Catholic Church, 7958 W. Foster Ave, Chicago, Ill 60656 for Mass of Christian Burial 10:00am Interment Maryhill Cemetery.
