Chicago, Illinois – Nora R. Montemayor of Chicago, Illinois passed away on June 16, 2024. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at 1:45 PM, at Maryhill Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum in Niles, Illinois.
Nora was born in Daet Camarines Norte, Philippines to Seismundo Ramos and Esperanza Villafuerte Ramos. Married to Carmelo Montemayor. She graduated from the University of Santo Tomas with an education in Elementary Teacher. Arrived in Chicago in 1969.
Nora Montemayor was Preceeded in death by her late husband Carmelo Montemayor. She is survived by her sister, Dr. Virginia Martinez (Romulo) of Columbus, GA. She is also survived by her 4 children: Noel Montemayor, Grace Montemayor (Mark), Emil Montemayor (Josie), Mercy Fickenscher (Matthew); nephew Pocholo Martinez (Taza), niece Aimee Marjanski (Raff), and niece Carolyn Kavanagh (Troy). Grandchildren: Sarah Fickenscher, Emily Montemayor, Melody Montemayor, Sophia Fickenscher; Sister’s grandkids: Julian Kavanagh, Suneva Martinez, Archimedes Marjanski, and Ansel Kavanagh.
Arrangements were entrusted to Cumberland Chapels, Chicago, Illinois.
