Nicolo Rizzo

Nicolo Rizzo, age 90, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on November 30, 2024. Nicolo was the devoted husband of Isabella (Petrancosta) for 67 wonderful years; loving father of Josephine "Josie", Anna, Matthew (Teresa) and Joseph (Melissa) Rizzo; dearest son of the late Giuseppa Urso Russo and the late Matteo (the late Rosalia) Rizzo; cherished nonno of Nicolas (Emily), Michael, Kaitlyn and Madison Rizzo; dear brother of Salvatore and Santo (Sharon) Rizzo and the late Mary (the late Guy) Attardo. Nick was also a beloved Uncle, cousin and friend to so many.
Nicolo worked for the City of Chicago Department of Streets and Sanitation for over 30 years. He was a member of Societá SS. Crocifisso San Giovanni Bosco di Ciminna (Chicago). Please consider an appreciated donation to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org
Visitation Wednesday, December 4, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services begin at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home, and will then proceed to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe (Marian Chapel) for Mass at 10:00 a.m. The entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum in Des Plaines.
