Nicoletta Canale

Nicoletta Canale nee Abbinati, 90, at rest December 16, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Salvatore Canale. Loving mother of Christina (Salvatore) Petrancosta and the late Tom Canale. Cherished grandmother of Nicole (John) Anderson, Valerie Gudella, Joann (John) Sherlock, Nicole (Bobby) Heilemann, and Sal (Abbie) Canale. Great grandmother of 13. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Nicoletta helped found and operate La Villa Restaurant with her husband and family for many years. She will be remembered as a welcoming and generous soul, who was a talented seamstress and an exceptional cook. She will be missed by all. Visitation will be Monday, December 22 from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Emily Catholic Church, Mt. Prospect. Entombment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Immaculate Heart of Mary Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations in Nicoletta's memory can be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Info: 708-456-8300
