Nicolas Zavolokoff

Nicolas Zavolokoff II age 28, at rest on April 18, 2025. Loving son of Nicholas and Mary Zavolokoff. Dear nephew of Michael Kozlowski, the late Steven Kozlowski, JoAnne (the late James) Kuksuk the late Cathy Bracken, George Zavolokoff, Paul (Nadyja) Zavolokoff, Sonia Zavolokoff. Dearest cousin of Matthew, Michael Jr. and Jacob  Kozlowski, Ashley (Dallas) Englehart, Katie (Gregory) Mucia and Ilona (Jose) Huizar, Nick (Amanda) Jaworsky, Angela, Oksana, Pavel, Timofey, and second of Riley, Sapphire, Logan, Zachary, Ella, Lilah, Nathan, Olivia,  Francis, Scarlett, Harley and Natalie.

Nicolas spent 73 days in Christ Hospital waiting for a heart transplant.  He had been fighting for the past two years.  He had his aortic value replaced two years ago and ended up coming home with a  PICC line  and having to carry around a IV pump because he needed medication 24/7.

It was time for him to enter the hospital to wait for a new heart.

As he was waiting the Nurses (CSDV Crew) who were caring for him developed a Friendship and he was more than a patient he was a friend.

He fought as long as he could but he was just tired so God took him home.

We are very grateful for the 28 years he gave us.

He wanted people to dress casual for his wake service and if you had a Gruntstyle shirt or hoodie to please were it.

Visitation for Nicolas will take place on Friday, April 25, 2025 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, Il. Funeral Saturday, beginning at the funeral home at 9:00 am and then proceed to St. Paul of the Cross Church in Park Ridge for 10:30 am Mass. Interment will follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery in Niles, Il.
