Nick Schiavone, age 91, of Addison and formerly of Bloomingdale, passed away on November 3, 2021. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 2, 1930 to Salvatore and Carmela Schiavone, née Farella. He was one of seven children and grew up in Chicago’s Little Italy neighborhood.
He is survived by his wife, Jeannette, née Morano, their children, Marilyn (John) Catalano, Janet (John) Vinopal, and Sally (Joe ) Reamer. Grandchildren John ( Jaime) Catalano, Jeannette (Tim) Cooke, Michael (Erin) Vinopal, Lauren Vinopal, and Olivia Reamer. Great Grandchildren Jonna and Nick Catalano, Benjamin and Carmella Cooke. Nick is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his siblings Sabatino, Marie, Madeline Mancini, Patsy, Ralph, and Marie Lauricella.
Nick loved spending time with his family and friends, and volunteering for many charitable organizations, among them the Chicago Italian American Charitable Organization CIACO and the Italian American War Veterans Post Number 2. He spent many hours as a volunteer at Alexian Brothers Medical Center.
Visitation Sunday, November 7, 2021 from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Bucaro Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 485 W. Army Trail Rd., Bloomingdale, IL.
