Nicholas Korines

Nicholas H. Korines,  passed away on July 2, 2024 at is home at the age of 72. Nicholas was born November 9, 1951 at Freeport Hospital on Long Island, New York to Harry and Barbara (nee Provias) Korines.  Beloved son, nephew, brother, father, husband, uncle and friend . Preceeded in death by mother, father, sisters (Maria and Christhena). Suvived by uncles (James and Michael), sisters (Diane and Athena), wife Ruth and son James. Enjoyed sports, music, traveling, photography, the beach, family and friends. Visitation will take place on Friday, July 12, 2024  from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Saturday from 11:00 am until time of funeral service at 12:00 noon at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, Il. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in River Grove, Illinois.

A big man with an even bigger presence. Nick and his larger-than-life personality touched everybody lucky enough to call him a friend. He spent his life the only way he knew how, as himself. While the void of his absence will be resounding, his memory will be eternal. Knowing him was a privilege, not a right. He was my dad, my big poppa, my papidopolous. He was my best friend, my mentor, he was my hero.
