Honorable Nello P. Gamberdino, WWII Veteran, USAAF, beloved husband of Eileen nee Flanagan, devoted father to Nello P. II (Anna) and Annemari (Jason) Kerr, cherished Nonno of Kennedy Gabriella and Tristan Rocco Kerr, and Serafina Ava, Nello P. III, and Giada Maria Gamberdino, dear brother of the late Dora (the late John) Liberatore, the late Jerry (the late Rose) Gamberdine, the late Quentin (the late Anne) Giamberdino, the late Inez (Howard) Brown, and Anthony (the late Renee) Giamberdino, fond brother-in-law of the late Catherine (the late Thomas) Howe, Anna Marie (the late Richard) Hackett, Margaret (Frank) Vogel, the late Mary Patricia Carey, Elizabeth J., and Kevin (Terry) Flanagan, also survived by many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Antonio and Anna Maria Giamberardino. Retired Associate Judge, Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois; served in the First and Fourth Municipal Districts and Juvenile Court; former Assistant State's Attorney in Cook and Lake Counties; Distinguished Counsellor Member of the Illinois State Bar Association; Member, Illinois Association of Judges, Justinian Society of Lawyers, and Calabresi in America; Fourth Degree Member, Knights of Columbus; Served on the Board of Trustees, Divine Word International; also Board of Directors, Sicilian American Cultural Association. Visitation Friday, January 3, 2014, 3:00pm to 9:00pm at CUMBERLAND CHAPELS, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, IL 60706. Funeral Services begin Saturday, 8:30am at the Funeral Home and will proceed to The Chapel of the Holy Spirit at Techny Towers, 2001 Waukegan Rd. Techny, IL 60082 for a celebration of life and Mass at 10:00am. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Techny, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Misericordia Heart of Mercy, 6300 N.
