Natalie Castro

Natalie “Boods” Castro, age 29, passed away unexpectedly on October 27, 2025. She was the loving mother of Lyric Castro, who was the center of her world; the cherished daughter of Carmen Castro and Antonio Hernandez; the beloved granddaughter of Maria Ibanez; and the dear sister of Antonio and Amethyst Hernandez. She was also a proud and devoted aunt, cousin, and loyal friend to many.

Natalie had a heart that radiated love and kindness. Known affectionately as “Boods,” she was celebrated for her warmth, humor, and strength—always ready to lift others up, even when she carried the weight of the world on her own shoulders. Her love for her daughter, family, and friends was endless, and her beautiful spirit will continue to live on through them forever.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m., at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL.
All services will conclude on Friday evening, and interment will be private.
