Monika Kozaka

Monika Kozaka, age 48, passed away on April 1, 2026. She was born on July 9, 1977 In Chicago, Illinois, to the late Jozef and Wieslawa (née Milkowska) Chaniewicz.

Monika was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and friend whose kindness and warmth touched everyone who knew her. She was a woman of strength, compassion, and grace, always putting her family at the center of her life. Her love was unwavering, and her presence brought comfort and joy to those around her.

She was highly dedicated to her education and professional life, earning her first Bachelor’s Degree in 2001 from National Louis University and a second Bachelor’s Degree in 2004 from Northeastern Illinois University. Monika went on to build a successful career, serving as a Senior Project Accountant at ABS, a member of Cook and Boardman Group for 25 years, where she was respected for her dedication and professionalism.

Outside of her career, Monika found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved taking long walks, spending time at the beach, traveling, and cooking. Above all, she treasured the moments spent with her family and friends, creating memories filled with laughter and love.

Monika will be deeply missed and forever cherished by her beloved husband of 25 years, Jerry Kozaka; her loving son, Gabrial Kozaka; and her dear sister, Iwona Glodek, along with her family.

She was preceded in death by her cherished daughter, Isabella, as well as her parents.

Visitation For Monika will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels Funeral Home 8300 W. Lawrence Ave Norridge, Il. Funeral Friday, April 10, 2026, beginning at the funeral home at 9:30 am and then proceed to Immaculate Conception Parish in Chicago for 10:30 am Mass. Interment will follow at Maryhill Catholic Cemetery in Niles, Il.

Monika’s love, strength, and beautiful spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
