Mildred Genovise

Mildred Genovise, age 97, at rest on October 16, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Phillip Genovise. Loving mother of Mark Genovise, Alan (Lynn) Genovise, Carol (the late Ken) Schuda and Lynn (David) Stellato. Cherished grandmother of Kenny (Diana) Schuda, Craig (Shauna) Schuda, Amanda (Paul) Berkes, Nathan (Gabby) Genovise, Rebecca Genovise, Tim (Amanda) Schuda, Christopher (Emily) Genovise, Jaclyn (Brian) Schon and Amy (Brian) Eschenbrenner. Great grandmother of Luke, Makenzie, Elise, Avery, Colbie, Cole, Riley, Tessa, Zoey, Evan, Nicholas, Myles and Leo. Preceeded in death by her five siblings, Vincent (Maryann) Nowaczyk, Norm (Barbara) Nowaczyk, Dorothy (Andy) Santella, Trudy (Ralph) Cryer and Gloria (John) Bernardi. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Millie treasured spending time with her family, especially her children, grand children and great grand children. She loved reading and had a passion for learning. She enjoyed the arts and liked to paint and to play her baby grand piano. Other favorite activities included traveling, crocheting and playing trivia games. Visitation will take place on Sunday, October 20, 2024 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, Il. Funeral Monday, beginning at the funeral home at 9:30 am and then proceed to Queen of Peace Parish at St. Eugene Church for 10:30 am Mass. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, Il.
