Michael Romano

Michael Romano, Sr., 93, Norridge resident since 1957, U.S. Army WWII Veteran; Beloved husband of Julia 'Judy' nee Whisler for 70 years; Loving father of Michael (Betty) and Marlene (Thomas) Lesko; Loving grandfather of Tina Hock, Tom (Tracey) Restivo, Michael (Kim) Restivo, Michael C. (Jennifer) Romano, Joseph (Krys) Romano, Claudia Romano and Brandon Lesko and great-grandfather of Tyler Holt, Christian and Samuel Hock, Mia Restivo, Zoe Romano, Anthony Restivo and Joey Romano. Predeceased by his brothers Joseph, Ted, Raymond and Albert and his sister Phyllis. Michael was a proud and dedicated WWII Veteran and a true patriot who served four years with the 12th Armored Division in Europe as a Sergeant. He was a lifetime member of the 12th Armored Division Association, VFW Post #3579 and Italian American War Veterans. He retired as Vice President from Northwest National Bank of Chicago with 25 years of service. Visitation Thursday Nov. 20th from 3 - 9 pm at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge. Funeral service will begin Friday at 10:30 am at the funeral home followed by a procession to Queen of Heaven Cemetery for interment with military honors.
