Michael Prestia

Michael Prestia of Elk Grove Village was born September 29, 1960, peacefully entered into Heaven on November 19. Michael was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and son whose legacy of love, faith, and hard work will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched.

Michael is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Camille, who was his world and greatest joy. Together, they built a life filled with love, devotion, and shared faith. He was the proud father of Jake (Grace), Rico (Lauren), and Gino (Adriana). Michael’s love for his family only deepened with the arrival of his grandchildren—Marion, Mac, Mila, Lorenzo, and Louie—who brought endless joy to his life. Michael was the cherished son of Jeanette and the late Peter. Beloved brother to Pete (Tricia), Chrissy, Sam, and Rick (Anna). His faith was the cornerstone of his life, and he embodied the principles of a strong Christian, always offering kindness, wisdom, and support to those around him. A hardworking tuckpointer all of his life, Michael took immense pride in his craft, earning the respect of his peers and setting an example of dedication and perseverance for his sons. But above all, his greatest pride was his family. He was a steadfast protector, mentor, and provider, and his deep love and commitment to his wife, children, and grandchildren defined his days. Visitation Monday, November 25 ^th from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Cumberland Chapels (FRIEL FUNERAL DIRECTORS) 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge. There will be a 7:00 P.M. services on Monday at the Funeral Home. There will be a Visitation on Tuesday beginning at 10:00 A.M. until time of Funeral Service 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home. The burial will take place at the Town of Maine Cemetery, Park Ridge.
