Michael Mangano, age 69, at rest on May 3, 2025 at his home in St. Charles, IL after a long battle with cancer. Michael was born in Chicago, IL to the late Dominick (the late Darlene) Mangano and the late Jeanette (nee Schillaci) Mangano. He was the beloved husband of 47 years to Nancy (nee Walicki), cherished father of Dina (Steve) Johnson and Michael Mangano, and dearest grandfather of Callie Johnson. He was the fond brother of JoAnn Mangano, Dominick Mangano and the late Joseph (Barbara (nee Levato)) Mangano and loving uncle of Brian, Lauren, Ryan, Robert, Natalie, Joey, Domiano and Dominique.
Michael was the person you could call anytime, day or night, and he would drop whatever he was doing to help in any way that you needed. He worked hard his entire life to provide his family with everything they ever needed or wanted. In addition to the love and devotion he had for his human family, he adored his canine family members as well. He never met a dog he didn’t love, and all the dogs loved him equally as much. Michael enjoyed listening to music, and he and Nancy loved attending concerts at Ravinia with family and friends where they set up a gorgeous spread with tablecloths, flowers, candles, and delicious food and drinks for all to enjoy. Michael has touched the lives of so many people throughout the years, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
