Michael J. Learnahan

Michael Learnahan, at the heartfelt age of 81, peacefully left this world on January 28, 2026, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family. His presence was a beacon of kindness, strength, and boundless love. Michael was a caring father to Karen L. Brown (Ron Mokry) and Suni C. (Kevin) Martin, a beloved son to the late Jeannette and Kenneth Learnahan, and an adoring grandfather to Ron Jr. (Yvette), Katelynn (Matthew), Jake, Ryan, and Sean—whose lives he brightened every moment. His great grandchildren, Sebastian, Savannah, and Gwendolyn, knew him as a gentle and joyful soul. A dear brother to Gene (Karen), James (Susan), Kathleen (the late Glenn), and Kenneth (Demetra), he was also a cherished uncle to many.

Michael’s passions ran deep—an avid fisherman, a talented bowler and a true enthusiast of cars. He loved the simple pleasures of life: spending hours by the pool, enjoying Mike’s Hard Lemonade, and creating memories that would warm our hearts forever. His dedication to his work at ADT for over fifty years was a testament to his unwavering commitment and integrity.

He was the best dog sitter anyone could ask for— always gentle and caring, showering his furry friends with treats. His greatest joy, however, was playing with his grandkids and great grandkids, filling their lives with laughter, fun, and pure affection.

Visitation Monday, February 2, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge. Funeral Services will follow on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home and the interment will be private. For more information call (708)456-8300.
