Michael Caponi

Michael Caponi, 87 of Park Ridge. At Peace with Christ Saturday, July 27, 2019. Beloved husband of Kathleen. Loving son of the late Michael and Clara. Michael attended St. Jerome's Grammar School, Chicago and St. George’s High School, Evanston. He joined the Christian Brothers in 1949. After serving with the Brothers for 23 years he left the religious order and later married Elizabeth Kathleen Bezner. Michael continued his work in education at St. Stephen’s Grammar School in Des Plaines and over 20 years at Notre Dame High School for Girls in Chicago. Michael was known as an exemplar teacher: interesting, strict and fair. He was widely admired. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 30th from 10:30 A.M. until time of the Funeral Mass 11:00 A.M. at Mary Seat of Wisdom Church 920 Granville Ave. Park Ridge. A private interment will take place in Texas. Arrangements conducted by FRIEL FUNERAL DIRECTORS.
