Maureen M. Hickey

Maureen M. Hickey, beloved mother of 5 children, 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, passed away peacefully with her children by her side, on March 20, 2026, leaving a void her family cannot fill. Maureen was preceded in death by her husband Jim and is survived by her sister Joanne Tyrrell, and Maureen’s children, Eileen (Robert) McGivney, James (Jennifer) Hickey, Michael Hickey, Sharon (John) Geocaris, and Maureen Dohoney, who will never forget the love she brought to their lives. Maureen is also survived by her 16 grandchildren, Michael Hickey, John Hickey (Alexandra), Breanna Scorza, Molly Loutos, Meghan Joosten (Zac), Jenna Scorza, Anne Marie Loutos, Robert McGivney, James Hickey, Colleen Badali (Matthew), Charlie Hickey, Bennett Hickey, Christ Geocaris, James Dohoney, Nicholas Geocaris, and Daniel Dohoney. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Teddy and Finn Joosten, and Nora Badali. 

Visitation Wednesday, March 25th from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Cumberland Chapels (FRIEL FUNERAL DIRECTORS) 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge. Funeral Services Begin: Thursday 9:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home and will proceed to St. Eugene Church. Funeral Mass 10:00 A.M. . Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside. Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find peace in knowing she passed as she lived—surrounded by love. Her memory will forever be a blessing, and her spirit will continue to guide and comfort us. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
