Mary A. Pollina (ne McGovern) was born in Chicago, IL to the parents of Arthur and Pearl McGovern on March 20, 1936. She entered into the house of the Lord on April 9. 2017. She was a nurse for many years at Our Lady of the Resurrection Hospital in Chicago. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Mary was the loving mother of eight sons, Michael (Heather), Thomas (Mary), Charles (Kim), James (Patricia), Steven (Darlene), Frank (Sharon), John, Kenneth (Anthony); sister of Geraldine (Donald) Ullmer, Ann (James) Belanger, Patricia McGovern; dearest cousin of Beatrice Malawski; grandmother of Morrigan, James, Thomas, Patricia, Nicole, Brianna, Melissa, Kevin, Daniel, Anthony, Dana, Meagan, Jacob, Nathan, Ryan, Jonathan, Kayla; great grandmother of Shane, Braeden, Alivia, Brea, Ayden, Ryleigh, Kaylanee, Mia and aunt of many nieces and nephews. A memorial visitation celebrating her life will be held on Saturday April 22, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. until time of prayer service at 10:30 a.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. The funeral will then proceed to Immaculate Conception Church in Chicago for a 11:00 a.m. Memorial Mass. Inurnment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL
