Mary O'Grady

Mary Elizabeth O'Grady, nee McGrath, age 75, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2021. Mary was the beloved wife of Lt. Michael P. C.P.D. Retired for 53 wonderful years; loving mother of Lt Col Kevin (Colleen) O'Grady, Margaret "Peggy" (John) Chronos, Mary Ellen and Matthew (Elizabeth) O'Grady and Kathleen "Katie" (Barry) Cunningham; cherished grandmother of Garrett, Bridget, Colin, Kevin, Nolan, Patrick, George, Catherine, Michael, Maggie, Matthew Jr., Tim, Owen, Mary and Sarah; dear sister of Patricia (Paul) Reichenbacher, Thomas (Joyce) and Phil (Donna) McGrath and the late Julie Heibel; fond aunt of many. Mary was a registered nurse with Resurrection Medical Center for over 30 years. Visitation Wednesday, October 6, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services begin at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home, and then proceed to Our Lady, Mother of the Church in Chicago for Mass at 10:30 a.m. The interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL.
