Mary Ellen Coley, nee Harper, age 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 17, 2025. Mary Ellen was the beloved wife of the late Robert J. Coley; loving mother of Theresa A. "Terry" (the late Timothy) Palermo, Robert Joseph II (Diane) and Frank W. (Kimberly) Coley; dear daughter of the late Angela and Frank Harper; cherished grandmother of Jennifer Marie and Timothy Edward Palermo and Robert Joseph III (Samantha) and the late Frankie Coley; proud great grandmother of Rylee; dearest sister of Mary (Chuck) Denton and the late Carol (the late Irvin) Lupee and the late Frank Harper; fond aunt of many.

Visitation Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge. Funeral services begin at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, at the funeral home, and then proceed to St. Ferdinand Church in Chicago for Mass at 10:00 a.m. The interment will follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery in Niles.
