Martin ‘Marty’ K. Tong, 65, at rest January 7, 2026. Dear son of the late Sharon and the late Jacqueline Tong. Loving brother of Robin Rodriguez. Fond uncle of Robert Rodriguez and Erica Rodriguez. Honorary son of Ruben and Jacqueline Bautista. Honorary brother and best friend of Jeff Williams and Ruben, Dan and Steven Bautista.  Marty was a long-time hockey referee and member of the Illinois Hockey Officials Association, IHSA and Hockey North America. and baseball umpire, IHSA. Proud Alum of DePaul University and Rosary College. Proud member of Alpha Beta Gamma (DePaul University). Holy Cross High School (River Grove, IL) class of '79. St Prascilla Elementary School (Chicago, IL) class of '75. Attended St William Catholic School (Chicago, IL). Marty played baseball and pitched for Holy Cross High School, Hiawatha Park, Harwood Heights and American Legion. He played ice hockey for Harwood Heights and Hockey North America. Marty loved music and was an avid Beatles fan. Memorial Visitation will be Saturday, January 17, from 11:30 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W Lawrence Ave, Norridge. Interment private.
