Beloved husband of Angela La Placa nee Geraci; Loving father of Joseph (Susan) La Placa, Judith (James) Rooney, and Vincent (Elizabeth) La Placa; beloved son of the late Joseph La Placa and the late Maria Petrina DeGioa; fond grandfather of Mario, Gina Marie, Joey La Placa, James Rooney, Michael Rooney, Rocco Rooney, Sarah La Placa, and Amy La Placa; dear brother of Lillian (the late Marco) Ragona and Sam (Delis) La Placa. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 20, 2016 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, IL 60706. Funeral services begin Wednesday at 9:00 am at the funeral home and will proceed to St. Hilary Church at 5614 N. Fairfield Ave. Chicago, IL 60659 for Mass at 10:00 am.
