Marilyn Fergus

June 20, 1946 — October 22, 2021

Marilyn J. “Mimi” Fergus (75) passed on Friday, October 22, 2021. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Frank, two of her three children, Kathleen (Fergus) Hepburn, Sean Fergus, Daughter-in laws, Nicole (Belmonte) Fergus, and Jennifer (Jones) Fergus, her Grandchildren, Mackenzie, Ian, Aidan, William, Patrick, Brendan, Madalyn and James and her dear brother John Orth. She was preceded in death by her son Sheamus Fergus and her parents Henry and Mary Ellen Orth. Many cousins, co-workers, and friends fondly remember her.

She was a nurse, a lactation consultant, and a childbirth educator that loved all babies. She was an avid supporter of the Mother’s Milk Bank of the Western Great Lakes. In place of flowers, she would ask for a donation to the Mother’s Milk Bank of the Western Great Lakes or visit www.milkbankwgl.org.

Visitation Tuesday October 26 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge. Funeral Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home and will proceed to St. Robert Bellarmine Church in Chicago for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles.
