Marilyn Deering

Marilyn Jeanne Deering nee Gillespie, age 78; Beloved wife of the late Lee Deering; Loving mother of Kathleen, Lee, Richard (Michele), Sandy (Mark) Eden; Dear grandma of James and Amanda Eden, Richard, Michael, and Danielle Deering; Dear sister of Kathleen Gillespie, Donald (Kay) Gillespie, Michael (Carolyn) Gillespie, and the Late Daniel Gillespie; Loving aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews; Friend of loving, devoted companion and caregiver Faith Ngambi. Marilyn’s greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. She loved the Northwoods of Wisconsin and enjoyed playing cards, Scrabble, and working on crossword puzzles. She was an avid reader, bike rider, theatre goer and Lyric Opera and CSO subscriber. Visitation, Sunday November 5, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, IL 60706. Funeral Services begin Monday 9:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home and will proceed to Our Lady Mother of the Church for Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Maryhill Cemetery.
