Marilyn A. Chisesi

October 28, 1932 — April 3, 2026

Marilyn Chisesi, of Chicago, Illinois, and a longtime resident of Norridge, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026, at the age of 93. (Although she did not claim to have had a birthday after 29.)
Marilyn was the heart of her family—a devoted wife, a deeply loving grandmother, a cherished sister, and a friend to so many. She had a rare gift for making people feel seen, welcomed, and loved. Her home, her laughter, and her presence were constants that brought comfort and joy to those around her.

She was a beloved member of her community, known for her warmth, her kindness, and a sense of humor that could brighten even the darkest day. Marilyn’s laughter was unforgettable—full of life, full of love—and it left a lasting imprint on everyone lucky enough to hear it. She carried a light within her that she shared freely, and that light will continue to shine through the memories she leaves behind.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Chisesi, whose memory she carried with her always, as well as by her parents.

Marilyn is survived by her sons, Robert and Vincent (Cheri) Chisesi; her grandchildren, Martin Chisesi, Melissa and Chris Alvarez, Addie and Peter Thormodson, and Keyli Chisesi. Her love lives on in each of them, in the lessons she taught, the traditions she created, and the countless moments of laughter and care she gave so freely.

Though she is no longer with us, Marilyn’s spirit remains—in every shared story, every smile she inspired, and every life she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

A private funeral service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marilyn’s memory to Rainbow Hospice ARK or The Chicago Lighthouse who provides education, employment, independent-living, and specialized services for people who are blind, visually impaired, disabled and Veterans throughout Chicagoland.

John 16:22- “So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.”
