Marietta Del Preto, age 70, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2025. Marietta was the dear daughter of the late Lorraine (neeVigiletti) and the late Anthony Del Preto; beloved sister of Joseph (Bonnie) Del Preto; cherished aunt of Joseph (Caryn) Del Preto, Christin (Brian) Eggener, Anthony (Alison) Del Preto and Michael (Stacye) Del Preto and Melissa (Joshua) Jernigan, and she was an adoring great aunt of Joey, Braya, Abigail, Matthew, Anthony, Reese, Adam, Lia, Gavin, Caleb, Natalie and Vincent.
Marietta was a Certified Court Reporter for the State of Illinois for over 35 years. She enjoyed laughing, dancing, telling stories and most of all sun-bathing at her home in Hallandale, Florida. She was the life of every party and enjoyed spending time with her family and all of her many friends. Marietta will be missed for the love, generosity and the way she could make everyone around her smile and roar with laughter. She was a one of a kind woman that touched so many lives. Her family and friends were blessed to have had her as their friend for all these years. She may have left us a bit too soon but we will never forget the way she lived her life. Rest in peace our dear, dear Marietta.
A celebration of Life will be held at Christ Church in Oak Brook on May 12, 2025, Visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of an 11:00 a.m. Service For more information call (708)456-8300.
