Marie Nosek

Marie C. Nosek, nee Garneau, age 92, passed away unexpectedly at her home on November 21, 2024. Marie was the devoted wife of the late Robert A.; loving mother of Michael T. (Mary) Nosek, Mary E. (the late Tod) Bourgart, Ann M. (the late William) Kohut, Robert F. (Kimberly) Nosek and John J. (Teri) Nosek; dear daughter of the late Elizabeth and Francis Garneau; cherished grandmother of Kathryn (Robert) Ladd, Kevin (Kelly) Nosek, Mark (Mary Alex) Nosek, Amy Nosek and fiancé Connor O'Ryan and Jeffrey Nosek, Elizabeth (Ross) Meister, Ryan (Jessica) Bourgart and Maureen Bourgart, Jordan (Robert) Master, Matthew, Joseph, John, Luke and Griffin R. Nosek; great grandmother of Laura, Michael, Zoe, Avery, William, Caitlin and Holden; dearest sister of the late Helen Louise and Francis (the late Mary Claire) Garneau, and she was a fond aunt of many.

Our Mom was completely devoted to her family as wife, Mom, Grandma Rie and GG Rie, and she maintained a wide circle of close friends, some dating back to grade school. She had a wonderful laugh that we heard often, and she prayed daily for all her loved ones. She was a lifelong Cubs fan, despite many down years, showing her ever optimistic nature. She will be dearly missed, but her joy and spirit will live on in all of us who were blessed to know and love her. We are comforted in knowing that she is together again with her husband and our Dad.

Visitation Monday, November 25, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, at the funeral home, and then proceed to St. Eugene Church in Chicago for Mass at 10:00 a.m. The interment will follow at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles.
