Long Grove, IL – Marie V. DiTommaso (nee Stella) passed away peacefully on 11/05/2023 at the age of 94.  She was born on December 10, 1928, in Kenosha, Wisconsin and raised in Chicago, Illinois

Sister to the late Vera Gehl and the late Frank Stella

Beloved wife of 60 years to the late Rudolph V. DiTommaso

Marie is survived by her 8 children, Rudolph Jr. (Vivian), Michael (Mary), Denise (George Stevenson), Carol (Rocco La Penta), Linda (Dimitrios Klapsis), James (Karen), Paul (Monica) and Francine Sedlack.

Rudy and Marie were married October of 1951 in Chicago at St. Williams Church.  They settled in Park Ridge, IL to raise their 8 children. Being able to retire early, Rudy and Marie moved to Spring Hill, Florida in 1986 where they looked forward to traveling and many family visits from their family.

Marie so much loved to cook for her family, sew, and later in life, play bingo.  But her greatest passion was being a loving wife and mother to her 8 children. She will be missed by so many.

Visitation Thursday, November 9 ^th from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Cumberland Chapels (Friel Funeral Directors) 8300 W. Lawrence Ave, Norridge. Funeral Services Begin: Friday 9:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home and will proceed to Mary Seat of Wisdom Church, Park Ridge for a 10:00 am Funeral Mass.  Interment Private.
