Cherished grandmother of Kristen Ann Murray, Andrew Carl (Carrie) Murray, Stephany Joanne Himrich, and Philip Murray Himrich; and great-grandmother to Owen Douglas Murray. Preceded in death by parents John and Anna (Kokron) Bogner, and siblings Elizabeth (Joseph) Schultz, Frank (Betty) Bogner, Peter Bogner, Katherine (John) Hayden, Anna (James) Morreale, Nicholas Bogner and Dorothy (Mathew) Mann. Marianne was devoted to her family and known by her many nieces and nephews as “Aunt Mare”. Born on April 13, 1926 in Chicago, Marianne attended St. Michael’s Elementary School and Waller High School and worked at Illinois Bell Telephone Company. She married Roy at St. Michael’s Church on February 12, 1949, after meeting as teenagers at Arcadia Roller Rink. Fate would have it that they would meet again. After the war, the two reconnected while dancing at Aragon Ballroom and began their courtship. Marianne enjoyed traveling with her family, taking camping trips and caravans in their Airstream trailer, and vacationing in the Lake Wisconsin area. Marianne always remembered family birthdays, anniversaries and other important milestones and loved marking them with carefully selected cards. Throughout her life, she shared her kind heart and humble, generous spirit with everyone she met. She lived a life of service to others, and treated people with graciousness and respect. Marianne was a devoted parishioner and volunteer at Divine Savior Catholic Church and School and member of Divine Savior Women’s Club.
