Maria Slopecki

Maria A. Slopecki, nee Salviola, age 52, passed away on February 10, after a sudden illness, surrounded by her loving family. Maria was the adoring wife of Victor for 25 wonderful years; exceptional mom of Rachel and Victor Slopecki; beloved daughter of Roberta K., nee Rovitz, and the late Rocco Salviola; cherished sister of Rocco III (Jennifer) Salviola and sister in-law of David (Natalie) and Michael (Cindy) Slopecki; very caring niece, cousin and friend of many. Maria was a beautiful flower, she was always smiling and made everyone around her happy. She was a caring and thoughtful person who always put the needs of everyone else before her own. Maria loved everyone, and, it was evident in the amount of loving family and friends that she had. She was a bright, hardworking person who was a joy to be around, and that joy was shared by those who had the opportunity to work with her. The love that she had came from the love that she received from her family whom she shared a very close bond with. Visitation Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. A funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home, and we will then proceed for Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery. Info 708-456-8300.
