Maria Nowak

Maria Nowak, nee Plachno, age 82, passed away on February 8th surrounded by her loving family. Maria was the beloved wife of the late Jozef; loving mother of Maria (Roman) Kujawa, Joseph and Stanley Nowak, Bernadette (Andrzej) Reczek; cherished grandmother of Katrina (Paul) Roux, Chris (Courtney) and Thomas (Stephanie Mann) Kujawa, Matthew, Alicia, Natalie and Emily Reczek; great grandmother of Wyatt and Scarlett Roux, Adalynne and Cameron Kujawa; dear sister of Stanislaw Plachno, Anna (Frank) Lis and the late Jozef and Franciszek Plachno; fond aunt, godmother, cousin and friend of many. Maria was a member of The Alliance of Polish Clubs, The Polish National Alliance, Club Pojawie, Club Zaborow and the Rosary Club at St. Constance. Visitation Monday from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, at the funeral home, and will then proceed to St. James Catholic Church 5730 W.
