Maria Miceli

Maria Miceli, age 79, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026.

Maria was born in Monreale, outside of the Metropolitan City of Palermo, Sicily, Italy, to the late Giovanni D’Acquisto and Rosalia (née Madonia) D’Acquisto. She was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore Miceli and a devoted mother to Rosalia Males (Kevin Duffy) and the late Grace Miceli. Maria was a cherished grandmother to Jonathan Males, who brought her immense pride and joy.

She is also survived by her dear siblings, Anna (Paulo) Patellaro and Giuseppe (Enza) D’Acquisto, along with many extended family members and friends who will fondly remember her love, strength, and dedication to her family.

Visitation for Maria will take place on Monday, January 26, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, Illinois. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home and proceeding to St. Francis Borgia Church for an 11:30 a.m. Mass. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in River Grove, Illinois.

Maria will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
