Maria Geraci nee LiVecchi, age 97, of Mt. Prospect, formerly of Sicily, Italy. Passed away on February 27, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved Wife of the late Vincenzo Geraci for 65 wonderful years. Loving Mother of Angela (Mario) LaPlaca and Antonina (Giuseppe) Spedale. Cherished Nonna of Joseph V. (Susan) LaPlaca, Judith (James) Rooney, Vincent (Elizabeth) LaPlaca, Valeria (James) Sieman and Carlo Spedale, and Great-Nonna of Mario, Gina, Joey, James, Michael, Rocco, Michela, Cristian, Sarah and Amy. Visitation Friday from 3:00p.m. until 9:00p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral Services will begin Saturday 9:30a.m. at the funeral home, and proceed to Our Lady of the Wayside Church in Arlington Heights for Mass 11:00a.m. Entombment All Saints Mausoleum. Maria was a wonderful Wife, Loving Mother and Grandmother. She was a fantastic seamstress and enjoyed cooking and sewing for her family.
