Maria Duca, nee Scuderi, age 89, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2021. Maria is the beloved wife of the late Francesco; loving mother of Adriana (Antonino) Ferrara, Salvatore (Lucy) Duca, Maddalena (the late Antonio) Alvarez, Giuseppe (Magdalena), John and Mark (Lucy) Duca; dearest daughter of the late Maria and Giovanni Scuderi; cherished nonna of Lisa, Daniele, Davide, Patrizia, Giuseppe, Natacha, Veronica, Tania, Monica, Antonio, Philip. Ashley, Alexander, Kristina, Damian and Roman; loving biz nonna of Maximilliano, Antonio, Daniel, Michael, Tyler, Kyle, Samantha, Maile, Isabella, Sofia, Oliver, Alesia, Gianna, Nicole, Ramon and Nico; dear sister of Lucia (the late Ugo) DiNatale, Filippo (Adele) and the late Carmelo, Giuseppe and Teresa Scudere, and she was a fond aunt of many. Visitation Monday, November 22, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services begin at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, at the funeral home, and then proceed to Our Lady of Ransom Church in Niles for Mass at 10:00 a.m. The funeral will conclude following mass at church and the entombment will take place in Fondachelli Fantina Sicily, Italy.
