Maria Czachor, Nee Nita, age 92, passed away peacefully at home January 17, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Stanley; loving mother of Mary Smetana and Henya Pappas; fond grandmother of James Pappas, Thomas (Ellen) Pappas, Michelle (Samuel) Peniak; dear sister of the late Pawelek (Helena) Nita, the late Janek Nita and the late Staszek Nita; fond aunt of many. Visitation Sunday, January 23, 2022 from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL 60706. Funeral Services begin Monday, 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home and will proceed to Divine Savior Church in Norridge for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment Maryhill Cemetery.
