Maria Giorgia Cecala (nee Catalano) age 92, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 20, 2025. Maria was the beloved wife of the late Francesco; loving mother of Angela (Salvatore) Concialdi, Ninfa "Eva" (Paul) Bellisario, Salvatore (Wanda) and George Cecala; dear daughter of the late Ninfa (nee Cordaro) and the late Giorgio Catalano; cherished grandmother of Maria Rosa (Anthony) Pontillo, Giorgina M. (Joseph) Bosco, Angelica (Vince) Giannelli, Giorgiana (Neil) Gottstein, Joseph Bellisario and Salvatore Francesco (Catrina), Gino, Francesco (Rachel), Michael (Kaedi) and Anthony Cecala, and great grandmother of Anthony, Alessia, Angelo, Frankie, Gabriella, Lidiana. Edward, Joey, Emilio, Tomaso, April, Luca, Maximilian and Matea; dearest sister of Sylvia (the late Tony) LaCorte, Concetta (Tony) Baratta, Rosa (the late Sam) Carollo, Anna Maria (Tony) Bruno, Giacomo (Linda) Catalano, Josephine Ciraulo and the late Giovanni (Anna) Catalano and the late Carolina (the late Bartolomeo) Cumella, and she was a fond cousin, aunt and friend of many.

Visitation Monday, December 29, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge. We will then proceed to St. Paul of The Cross Church in Park Ridge for Mass at 12:00 noon. The entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum in Des Plaines. For more information call (708)456-8300.
