Madeline Betty Kobek

Madeline B. Kobek (nee Markese), age 94, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025. Madeline was the beloved wife of the late Gaetano Modica and the late Leonard Kobek; loving mother of Thomas Guy Modica; cherished grandmother of Andrew Guy (Stacy) & Thomas Guy II (Irene), great grandmother of Allison, Shelby, Jacob, Noah, Rhoda, Jerry Leonard, Rebecca & Steven, dearest sister of Elizebeth Scalfri (Ernest)) Mary Ghera(Gino), Augustine Conforti & Angeline Smarch, Beloved Brothers John Markese, Frank Markese (Ann)

Madeline was preceded in death by 19 other siblings; fond aunt of many, Betti Sabatino (Thomas), Jean Johns (Fillmore) Tommaso Modica (Connie) etc.

Visitation will take place on Friday, January 9, 2025 at Cumberland Chapels in Norridge, IL from 9:30 a.m. until a service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Acacia Park Cemetery. For more information call (708)456-8300
